Maximum Internet Speeds on GFiber

Understanding how fast your devices can go is important — and varies by each individual connected tech device you’re using.

Your internet plan determines the speed entering your home, but the Wi-Fi capabilities of your individual devices determine the speed you actually experience. Think of it like a highway: your Google Fiber plan sets a 70 MPH speed limit, but if your device’s internal hardware can only go 50 MPH, it will max out at 50 MPH. While a wired Ethernet connection always provides the maximum possible speed, this guide helps you understand what to expect over Wi-Fi.
