Why Private Roads and HOA Communities Require Approval

Unlike public streets, private roads, gated access points, and common grounds are legally owned and maintained by an HOA board, property management group, or real estate developer. To bring GFiber to homes in these areas, our construction teams need formal legal permission to install fiber lines across private property. Residents cannot grant this access individually; it must come from an authorized community decision-maker.

How to Request GFiber for Your Neighborhood

  1. Identify your community decision-maker: Determine who manages the common property in your area:
    • HOA Board / Officers: For established single-family or townhouse neighborhoods.
    • Subdivision Developer: For communities currently under active construction.
    • Property Management Company: For gated communities, condos, or leased properties.
  2. Ask your decision-maker to initiate contact: Reach out to your HOA board or management company and ask them to submit the GFiber Property Manager Form. You can use the copy-paste email template below to start the request.
  3. GFiber executes the Access Agreement: A GFiber representative works directly with your decision-maker to sign a standard Access Agreement. This grants GFiber permission to evaluate and construct network infrastructure on private property.
  4. Site survey and infrastructure build: GFiber conducts an on-site or remote survey to verify technical requirements. Once approved, we build the external fiber network.
  5. Resident sign-up and unit installation: Once main construction is complete, residents receive an email invitation to select a service plan and schedule an individual fiber installation.
