The features in this article are currently only supported if you have the GFiber Wi-Fi 6E Router (GR6EXX0C) or GFiber Wi-Fi 7 Router (GRBE331C). This means the Model Number at the bottom of your router is “GR6EXX0C” or "GRBE331C". If you have a different router you can still view basic device details and edit your device name, but you won’t be able to add an icon.

You can keep your network organized and easily identify your devices by customizing their names and icons in the GFiber App.

  1. Navigate to the Network tab and tap the Manage devices button at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Tap the device you would like to customize.

  3. Tap the pencil icon in the top right corner.

  4. Enter a new name for your device and choose an icon.

  5. Tap Update.

If you customize a device’s name or icon, make sure MAC randomization is disabled for that device. MAC randomization changes a device’s MAC address, which can cause customized devices to disappear or appear as new devices in the GFiber App. Learn more about MAC randomization and how to enable or disable it.
