What are symmetrical speeds? Download speed is the rate digital data travels from the internet to your device. Upload speed is the rate data travels from your router back to the internet. Symmetrical plans give you equal speed for both, ensuring lag-free video calls and fast file sharing.

Home 3 Gig features a powerful, symmetrical connection, meaning your upload and download capabilities are perfectly balanced to handle simultaneous video calls, heavy gaming, and 4K streaming:

Maximum Download Speed: Up to 3 Gbps (3,000 Mbps) through a wired connection.
Maximum Upload Speed: Up to 3 Gbps (3,000 Mbps) through a wired connection.

To deliver multi-gigabit speeds throughout your entire footprint, your plan includes specialized, next-generation equipment based on your local area's availability.

Included Router: A premium Multi-Gig Wi-Fi 6E Router (or a GFiber Wi-Fi 7 Router in select service areas) comes standard. You are also welcome to use your own compatible third-party multi-gig router.
Mesh Coverage: Up to two Mesh Extenders (Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7, depending on area availability) are provided at no extra cost, based on a technician's assessment during installation. Additional extenders can be purchased via your online account portal.
Expected Wireless Speeds: Under optimal conditions, you can expect real-world wireless speeds up to 1.6 Gbps when measured directly next to the primary router.

Home 3 Gig is priced at $100 per month (plus applicable taxes) with no data caps, no contracts, and no hidden fees. It includes premium installation features designed for peak structural performance.

Priority Room Optimization

Wired connections offer faster speeds and lower latency than Wi-Fi. During your free professional installation, a GFiber technician will assess your home’s existing wiring to execute a custom network design. This brings dedicated, hard-wired connectivity directly to the rooms that matter most (like a home office or gaming station). Internet Battery Backup (Optional)

Because fiber optic technology uses light rather than electrical impulses, the GFiber network remains online even during local power grid failures. Uninterrupted Bandwidth: Automatically kicks in during an outage to provide up to 2 hours of full-bandwidth power to your primary Fiber Jack and router.

Important: The backup system powers your primary connection point only; it will not power wireless mesh extenders or function during widespread facility outages.

Plan Details & Account Upgrades

Upgrading Your Plan: You can instantly upgrade to Edge 8 Gig via your online account portal or the GFiber mobile app. Note that if you upgrade to a newer lifestyle product, you cannot downgrade back to original or retired plan structures (1 Gig, 2 Gig, 5 Gig, or 8 Gig).
Downgrades & Equipment Retention: Customers downgrading plans can generally keep their existing hardware placement. However, specialized hardware additions like the Internet Battery Backup must be returned upon service downgrade to avoid recurring fees.
Service Cancellation Policy: If you choose to cancel your GFiber service entirely, all hardware must be returned within 60 days of cancellation to avoid a standard equipment replacement fee and applicable taxes.
