Cancel Your GFiber Service
We'd love to keep you as a customer. However, if you do need to cancel, we're here to help make the process easy. Contact a GFiber representative directly to process a cancellation request.

To cancel your current service, please reach out to our support team. You can speak to a representative through live chat, email, or phone. Remember to have your GFiber PIN ready.

If you're looking to temporarily suspend your service rather than cancel, please contact us to discuss your options.
- Sign in to your Google Fiber account using your email and password.
- On your account page, click edit under the Account Info card on the homepage.
- On your profile page, click Cancel Fiber Service.
(If you don't see a Cancel Fiber Service button, contact GFiber customer support.) - A series of messages will appear with information about canceling your GFiber service. Click Continue in each dialogue box to complete canceling your GFiber service.
You’ll receive your last bill on your usual billing date after you return any required equipment.
For example:
- Your billing date is the 20th of the month.
- You cancel on January 25.
- You return your equipment on February 10 (or you have no equipment to return).
- Your final bill arrives on February 20.
No — but you’ll receive a refund for any unused days of service. Here’s how it works:
Even if you cancel on the first day of your billing cycle, you’ll be charged for the full month. Once you complete the steps below, we’ll send a final statement on your next billing date showing any credit balance owed to you.
- Cancel your account.
- Return all GFiber equipment.
- Pay any outstanding balances.
If your final statement shows a credit balance, we’ll refund the most recent payment method within 19 days. Note that ACH payments and some banks may take longer to process.
If you have a scheduled date to transfer your phone number to a GFiber Phone plan, but now want to cancel the transfer, please reach out to GFiber customer support.
If you prefer to contact customer support to make one of these changes, our team can help restore your GFiber service or stop an already scheduled cancellation. Have your GFiber PIN handy.
If you cancel your service, change your plan, or move to an ineligible area, you have 60 days to return your devices. Once you cancel, you will receive an email detailing exactly what equipment you need to return. Choose one of these return options:
- A FedEx Office store (QR code): Free, and no packaging is required.
- An authorized FedEx Drop Box location (prepaid shipping label): Requires you to pay for supplies and package your equipment.
- Your local GFiber Space: Free, and no packaging or label is required.
