Set Up Your GFiber Wi-Fi 6E Mesh Extender

Follow these steps to pair your GFiber Wi-Fi 6E Mesh Extender (Model GE6E220C) with your router and expand your Wi-Fi coverage.

The GFiber Wi-Fi 6E Mesh Extender is designed to be used along with your GFiber Wi-Fi 6E Router to help expand your Wi-Fi coverage so you can stay connected throughout your home

Setting it up is simple — you’ll pair it with your router (either wirelessly or with an Ethernet cable), then move it to the area where you need a stronger signal.

Follow these steps to pair your GFiber Wi-Fi 6E Mesh Extender.

Quick Setup Guide

To pair your GFiber Wi-Fi 6E Mesh Extender (GE6E220C):

  1. Power on your Mesh Extender.
  2. Press the WPS button on your mesh extender.
  3. Press the WPS button on your router.
  4. Move your mesh extender to its permanent location and plug it back in.

Total setup time: about 5–10 minutes.

What’s in Your Self-Install Kit

Your mesh extender either came with your router in a self-install kit, or in its own separate kit. If it came in its own kit, make sure you have everything before you start:

  • GFiber Wi-Fi 6E Mesh Extender (Model GE6E220C)

  • 1 power adapter cord
    GFiber power cord
  • 1 ethernet cable
    GFiber ethernet cable

Step 1: Turn on Your Mesh Extender

  1. Place your mesh extender within 5 feet of your router.
  2. Plug it into a power outlet using the power adapter cord.

  3. Press the power button on the bottom to turn it on. The status light will turn solid white.

Step 2: Pair the Mesh Extender with Your Router

  1. Press the WPS button on the top of your Wi-Fi 6E Router. The light will start blinking.

  2. Press the WPS button on the bottom of your mesh extender. The light will start blinking.

  3. Once pairing is complete, the mesh extender status light will turn solid green.

Step 3: Move Your Mesh Extender to Its Permanent Spot

  1. Unplug the mesh extender and move it to where you plan to use it — ideally halfway between the router and the devices you want to reach.
  2. Plug it in and turn the power back on.
  3. The status light will turn solid green, yellow, or red to show your connection strength.

You can run a speed test to confirm your connection is working.
